In Colorado, Governor Jared Polis announced Tuesday that he would take steps to reduce the fire risk in the state as several wildfires remain out of control. California fire officials announced more evacuations Tuesday morning in the wake of the Carmel fire, the largest wildfire in California in more than a decade.
